Week 9: Podcasts, etc

I couldn't get to see very many videos on TeacherTube yesterday, because everyone was on at the same time, so I went back this morning. I found some podcasts on how to teach math on the SmartBoard. Perfect! While I was waiting to download them from itunes, I found the author's blog. It's amazing where the Internet can take you.

Week 8: Librarything

I have added the librarything to my blog by adding an HTML element. I don't think I would really use librarything in real life. I prefer to tell people about the books I've recently read. There seems to be too much being plugged in and less real communication nowadays.

Week 8: Zoho

The previous post was published from the Zoho site. I sent it without any trouble. The trouble came when I tried to get into my blog, but Ann enabled the cookies and I'm set!

First time doc

I can see the benefits of online documents, as I go from computer to computer, but why would I wnat others to edit them?  Can they just view them or can they edit them, too?  I'm kind of a control freak.

Week 7: #16 Wikis

This weekies, I learned about wikis. (I couldn't resist.) At http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics_education I found some neat graphics and information on math education that I added to my blog. I think I am more comfortable with wikis, since I grew up researching with encyclopedias. It's warm and fuzzy, like some good comfort food.

I thought I was lost forever, but I'm not. There must have been a glitch in my system, but my blog is not lost.

Week 6: #13 Tagging

Sorry, I don't like delicious. I don't like the way it's spelled with all of it's dots, I don't like the way it doesn't explain to me in baby steps what it is all about, and I don't like the way it kept kicking me out to places I didn't plan on going to in the first place. However, as a good lifelong learner, I have tried to achieve some measure of success, and added the podcast link to my Google reader acct. I don't know if it is a bookmark or a tag or what, but it is there. Now, that I've let some steam off, I feel better. I guess my main frustration was with the bunch/link site. I tried to condense by bookmarks into a minilink I could send easily, but I got a big error message and then it knocked me off and I had to go back to 23 things, week 6, etc. I tried it twice. Then I tried to get to my blog and it sends me to Google search engine. I cannot access my blog from the web anymore. Librari-Ann--Help!

Ok. I tried out the image generators and found a license plate generator. I always have fun trying to figure out the personalized plates myself, so I put one on my blog. Now, to add the link..

I have subscribed to some newsfeeds. I just need to add them to my blog. Sounds like homework to me.

I can upload from my computer, but I can't seem to get the pictures from Flickr to my blog.

I have successfully placed an avatar on my blog! She looks a little flustered, like me. I'm hoping have her travel to some of her favorite places along with adventuring off into the great unknown.

I'm learning how to blog! All of these names, titles, addresses are confusing. But I suppose once everything gets established this could be fun.
